It’s a Big Blog Party

It’s a blog party, y’all!

I just heard about this fab event called The Ultimate Blog Party (hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom) and so I am opening up the doors of the Co-Pilot family hangar and bringing out the packets of obnoxiously small snacks.

Or perhaps you’d like a coffee? Tea? Chocolate?

Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Whether this is your first time visiting Co-Pilot Mom, or you are a frequent flyer:

Welcome to Co-Pilot Mom!

I am Kim. I am an early childhood educator-turned stay at home mom to 2 boys: Captain Alpha who is 8 and Captain Bravo who is 3.

I call my sons Captain as a way of acknowledging that they are piloting their own vessels – I am just co-piloting with them until they are flying on their own.

One of my favourite pictures of my Captains

Co-Pilot Mom is where is tell my stories; here I share my soaring successes, my happy moments, and a few of my crashing defeats. (Slow roasted polyethylene, anyone?)

I am a Canadian, with an American (sometimes British) inner voice – hence the y’all at the top of this post.

I sing a lot – sometimes in public, always in the car – but not often during blog posts, so don’t worry if that sort of thing irritates you.

You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.

I look forward to connecting with you and hope you will say hello!

Oh my gosh, I just love the idea of ” just co-piloting with them until they are flying on their own” – that’s an awesome way to think of things!! I also love the kids monikers as Alpha and Bravo. Can’t wait to check out some more of your posts!

Nice to “meet” you! Just hopping on through from the #UBP13! These parties are always fun.

Love how you used the co-pilot term with your kiddos. It’s so true, isn’t it?
    Take care!

Love the title of your blog! I have always looked at parenting as a process of letting go because I’m raising adults. :) Can’t wait to dig into your blog a little more!
